  • Therapy for Sex Workers

You deserve a space where you can be seen without stigma, speak without fear, and heal without shame.

Are you a sex worker navigating the emotional toll of your profession, relationships, or personal history?

Whether you identify as a full-service provider, cam model, sugar baby, dominatrix, or another form of sex work, your story deserves to be held with dignity and respect. As a licensed, trauma-informed therapist and sex therapist in Newport Beach, I offer compassionate care tailored to the lived experiences of sex workers.

Common Themes You Might Be Facing:

    • Emotional exhaustion, anxiety, or depression

    • Navigating boundaries with clients, partners, or family

    • Stigma and shame (internal or external)

    • Processing complex trauma or relational betrayal

    • Struggles with intimacy, trust, or self-worth

    • Managing double lives or secrecy

    • Loneliness or isolation due to misunderstood work or identity

    • Questions about personal values, goals, and long-term plans

Many clients who work in sex-related industries experience challenges not only related to their work but also within their intimate relationships. For this reason, couples therapy and support for relational trauma and sex addiction can be important components of healing. I am here to help you—and your partner, if applicable—navigate these complex dynamics with compassion and clinical expertise.

Moreover, I deeply understand that sex work intersects with diverse aspects of identity, including race, gender, culture, and sexuality. My approach honors this intersectionality by providing culturally responsive and trauma-informed care tailored to your whole self.

This is a judgment-free, confidential space. Many of my clients feel they have to hide parts of themselves from traditional therapy. So that you know, you’ll be able to show up fully. My work is rooted in intersectional, sex-positive, LGBTQIA+ affirming care that honors your autonomy and resilience.

FAQ for Sex Worker Therapy Clients

Q: Will I be judged for what I do for work? A: No. This is a shame-free, affirming space where your choices and autonomy are respected. I support you without judgment or a moral agenda.

Q: Do I have to talk about my job in therapy? A: Only if it’s relevant to your goals. Therapy is about what you want to explore, whether that’s your work, your relationships, past trauma, or your future.

Q: Is therapy confidential? A: Yes. Everything you share is confidential within the limits of California law. I do not report or disclose information about your occupation.

Q: I live in another part of California. Can we still work together? A: Yes! I offer secure Telehealth online therapy sessions to clients throughout California.

Q: I’m transitioning out of sex work. Can you help with that? A: Absolutely. Whether you are staying in the industry or exploring new paths, therapy can support your transition, identity development, and healing.

Q: I’m in an ethical non-monogamous or kink relationship. Is that okay here? A: 100%. I am trained and affirming of consensual ethical non-monogamy, BDSM, and other alternative relationship styles. Your full identity is welcome here.

Q: Can I attend therapy even if I’ve had bad experiences with therapists before? A: Yes. Many clients come to me after working with therapists who lacked sensitivity or understanding. We’ll move at your pace, with trust and consent at the center of our work.

Q: How do I get started? A: I provide a complimentary 20-minute video consultation. We will talk about your goals, answer any questions, and see if it feels like a good fit.
